Chitika has released a new report which states that Windows Phone usage has overtaken BlackBerry usage in North America. However, the change occurred only because BlackBerry continues to lose users at a staggering rate, not because Windows Phone gained users. Back in February, Windows Phone and BlackBerry were essentially tied with 1.0 percent of the market each. In April, BlackBerry declined to 0.8 percent while Windows Phone held steady.

Unsurprisingly, iOS and Android continue to dominate in North America. Apple’s platform was in first place with 53.1 percent of North American users, followed by Google’s Android at 44.5 percent.
