UK Government Wants More Open Source
On Monday, at a meeting with IT suppliers and lobby group Open Forum Europe, UK's government said they want more open source solutions.
"The government is now looking to work on an open source implementation group. We will be looking at how open source could feature in our new ICT strategy," UK deputy CIO Bill McCluggage said.
According to Computer Weekly's Kathleen Hall, McCluggage said, "The government is serious about open source."
