Twitter has acquired startup Crashlytics for an undisclosed the sum. Crashlytics makes a crash-reporting solution that helps developers solve problems in their apps, and it counts Twitter, Vine, Yelp, Kayak, TaskRabbit and Waze among its users.

Some say the purchase was primarily an attempt by Twitter to add some mobile development talent to its roster. “It seems like a strategy to grow the mobile team,” said app developer Jad Meouchy. “It looks like a straight talent acquisition.”

Crashlytics has said that being acquired by Twitter won’t change day-to-day operations much. Its product development will continue, and the service will be available to developers as before.
