Software Testing Firms Recruit Coders with Asperger's
Software testing firms in Belgium, Japan and Israel have begun actively recruiting developers with a condition known as Asperger's Syndrome. Part of the autistic spectrum, Asperberger's often results in individuals with very poor social skills who often excel at complex mathematics and tedious troubleshooting tasks. This makes them ideal for software testing chores that "normal" programmers dread.
Two of the most well-known of these firms are Aspiritech NFP and Specialisterne. Clients of the firms include well-known companies like Oracle and Microsoft.
