Samsung, Oracle Partner on Mobile, Wearables

Ahead of next week’s Oracle OpenWorld 2015 conference, Samsung has announced that it is working with Oracle on enterprise apps for smartphones, tablets and smartwatches. With this effort, it appears that Samsung is attempting to move more into the enterprise market. The apps, many created by third-party mobile development firms, run on Samsung devices and utilize Oracle’s Mobile Cloud Services.

Apple and IBM have been partnering for some time on their own set of enterprise apps that run on iOS mobile devices. The new arrangement between Samsung and Oracle appears to be a response to that partnership.
