Apple has an event planned for September 9, and many industry watchers expect it to launch a wearable device, possibly called the “iWatch.” 9to5Mac is reporting that “two sources with knowledge of the new device” have said that the wearable will run apps created by third-party mobile development firms and may have an App Store. They added that Apple seeded an SDK for the new device to several well-known app developers, including Facebook.
Other sources have reported that the wearable will include fitness sensors and mobile wallet technology. It is believed the device will be go on sale in early 2015.
