Report: Android Apps Fail Nearly Twice as Often as iOS Apps

Blancco Technology has published a new study on mobile app crashes during the first quarter of 2016, and it found that Android apps were much more likely to fail than iOS apps. In fact, Android devices experienced a 44 percent app failure rate, compared to 25 percent for iOS devices. In addition, 74 percent of all Android devices experienced crashed apps, with the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Lenovo K3 Note having the highest failure rates.

Among iOS devices, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s models had the highest failure rates.

Interestingly, users in Asia experienced a 55 percent app failure rate, compared to 35 percent for Europe and 27 percent for North America.
