Node.js Creator Steps Down
Node.js creator Ryan Dahl has announced that he is taking a break from the project. Isaac Schlueter will step in to fill the void. Dahl wrote, "I am still an employee at Joyent and will advise from the sidelines but I won’t be involved in the day-to-day bug fixes. Isaac has final say over what makes it into the releases. Appeals for new features, changes, and bug fixes should now be directed at him."
Node.js is a JavaScript framework that has been surging in popularity recently, as evidenced by Microsoft's decision to support the framework on its Azure cloud computing platform. Observers wonder whether the change in leadership will slow further development of Node.js.
