Microsoft Leaves Silverlight Developers in Limbo
In December, Microsoft released Silverlight 5.0, but since then it hasn't been willing to say anything about the future of the platform. However, the company has been talking a lot about its plans for HTML5. In addition, Microsoft exec Scott Guthrie, who used to be a Silverlight advocate, has moved over to Azure and has declined to comment on the technology's future. And Microsoft recently announced plans to discontinue to its Mix conference, which used to feature a lot of Silverlight sessions.
As a result of all of these developments, a lot of Silverlight developers have been wondering if they should continue using the platform or if they should begin the transition to HTML5.
