Apple will begin rolling out iOS 11 on Tuesday, and when that happens, users will notice changes to the App Store. Mobile development firms now have more space for images and text to describe their apps. In addition, the App Store now more prominently displays games, which account for approximately 75 percent of App Store revenue.
Another big change in the operating system update is support for augmented reality (AR) apps.
The App Store is part of Apple’s services segment, which has generated $21.5 billion in revenue over the past three quarters, a 19 percent increase over the previous year.
