Google is inviting developers to submit app ideas for its Project Tango computer vision technology. Project Tango combines motion tracking and depth perception in a way that makes mobile devices more spatially aware.

Interested mobile development firms should submit their ideas, including a project schedule, visual mock-up, screenshot and storyboard by Feb. 15. Google plans to respond to developers by March 15. Google will provide the developers who submit the best ideas with funding and engineering support in order to bring their apps to market.

A Project Tango Development Kit is available for sale in the Google Store. Lenovo has announced that it will release a smartphone based on Project Tango technology later this year.
