Google Says Android Gingerbread and Honeycomb to Be Merged
The H Open reported that Google's CEO Eric Schmidt said at the Mobile World Congress that Android Gingerbread and Honeycomb versions of their smartphone and tablet operating systems will be merged.
The name for the merged version of Android was not announced, but according to The H rumors suggest "Ice Cream."
The differences between Gingerbread and Honeycomb are slight. Gingerbread includes support for NFC and Honeycomb can use more than one core.
