Google has announced that it is doubling the bounty it will pay for the persistent compromise of a Chromebook in guest mode from $50,000 to $100,000. The company made the $50,000 offer last year but has yet to receive any successful submissions. "Great research deserves great awards, so we’re putting up a standing six-figure sum, available all year round with no quotas and no maximum reward pool,” Google said.

Since the launch of its bug bounty program in 2010, Google has paid out more than $6 million to security researchers. It paid more than $2 million in bounties last year alone.
