Google Launches App Translation Service
Google has announced that its app translation service is now available to all developers. The company launched a pilot translation program in May and reported considerable interest from mobile development firms. Developers who choose to use the service pay a fee to have their apps localized for various countries.
Google notes that most Android devices are activated in countries where English is not the first language. The new service should make it easier for developers to attract international users. However, developers should be aware that not all apps can be sold in all countries and in-app purchases are not available in some countries.
