Around 11 am Pacific time on Sunday, February 16, the very popular coding website Stack Overflow experienced an outage. The site was down for about an hour, reportedly because of a DDOS attack against its network provider. The website’s parent company later said the problem had been “partially mitigated.”

Stack Overflow offers a forum for developers to ask and answer questions about programming. It typically sees around 1.7 million unique visitors on a weekend day and about 4 million on a weekday.
