Google has released version 1.0 of the Dart SDK. First announced two years ago, Dart is Google’s programming language designed to overcome some of the shortcomings JavaScript.
“Today’s release marks the first time Dart is officially production-ready, and we’re seeing teams like Blossom, Montage, Soundtrap, Mandrill, Google’s internal CRM app and Google Elections, already successfully using Dart in production,” blogged Google’s Lars Bak. “In addition, companies like Adobe, drone.io, and JetBrains have started to add Dart support to their products.”
The SDK includes the Dart Editor development environment, a set of core libraries, the Pub package manager, and the new Dart VM virtual machine.
