A Lisbon, Portugal-based startup called Codacy has raised $5.1 million in funding for its automated code review platform. Key investors included EQT Ventures, Faber, Caixa Capital, Join Capital, and Seedcamp.

Founded in 2014, Codacy aims to help enterprise application development teams reduce the time involved in code review. “Code review has become an essential part of any development workflow and developers now spend more than 20 percent of their time reviewing code to catch bugs as early as possible and ensure quality,” said Codacy co-founder Jaime Jorge. “With Codacy, we estimate that we help developers optimize around 30 percent of their code review time.”
