A new Android runtime environment from BlueStacks is built on a x64 hypervisor allowing Android apps to be downloaded onto a Windows-based PC and run as it does on your smartphone. BlueStacks’ initial release of the Android runtime for Windows implements the open source VirtualBox hypervisor for PCs to generate the virtual container in which the Android runtime layer runs.
The next version of the BlueStacks Android runtime will create its own hypervisor layer.
