Google Android Market Hits 100,000 Active Applications

Google confirmed yesterday that the Android Market now has more than 100,000 active applications.

According to a report in Electronista, the open source mobile platform still trails Apple's iOS, which has 250,000 applications, but it's number two.

Android phone sales have overtaken iPhone, but application market is still racing to catch up.
