HTC Releases Android 2.2 Source Code
HTC released the source code for Android 2.2 for the EVO 4G, Droid Incredible, Aria and Wildfire today.
Chris Smith at Andoinica said, "Modders and ROM developers are about to bury themselves in source code today and will chug six packs of Red Bull to stay up late into the night hacking away."
What's interesting about this release, Smith reports, is that HTC has preempted carriers in releasing the Android source code before the any of them, except for Sprint, have started pushing out the new operating system to their customers.
You can download the source code here.
