In Portland, Oregon this month, the Open Source Convention is going to be held. One interesting topic could be health care.
The Obama Administration is pushing hard to upgrade the health care system's technology, and the administration has also shown clear signals that they're cool with open source (e.g. they've actually contributed to Drupal).
