SpringSource Purchases Open Source Rabbit Technologies

SpringSource announced today that they have purchased the UK-based open source Rabbit Technologies.

Last year SpringSource was acquired by VMware.

"Terms of the deal were not disclosed," TechCrunch's Robin Wauters reported, "but SpringSource says it will add the RabbitMQ open messaging system into its suite of technologies."

It's expected that RabbitMQ will remain open source, and Wauter said that SpringSource will continue fully supporting the RabbitMQ developer community.
