Researchers Land $1.15 Million Grant to Build New Secure OS
Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago have landed a $1.15 million grant from the National Science Foundation to build a new secure operating system based on virtual machines.
It seems like just yesterday when Joanna Rutkowska released her secure operating system, called Qubes, using virtual machines. It wasn't yesterday - it was last Wednesday.
Now it's up to UIC associate professor Jon A. Solworth to do the same thing, but his operating system will be called Ethos rather than Qubes.
