Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago have landed a $1.15 million grant from the National Science Foundation to build a new secure operating system based on virtual machines.

Now it’s up to UIC associate professor Jon A. Solworth to do the same thing, but his operating system will be called Ethos rather than Qubes.
