Unix Ownership Confirmed, Novell Said to Continue Protecting the Open Source Community
Earlier this week, a jury ruled that Novell owns the Unix copyrights SCO had been claimed they owned. But while SCO had used those copyright claims to harass the open source Linux community, Novell said they won't do that.

While Novell has released the code under the Gnu Public License, but questions remain what will happen if Novell is purchased by another company such as Microsoft.
