MeeGo Source Code and Developer Builds Available
Yesterday was "Day 1" for the MeeGo open source mobile operating system project. Source code and downloaded images are now available for testing.
MeeGo is a merge of Nokia's Maemo and the Moblin projects.
The code released on "Day 1" does not include a user interface.
Intel's Director of Open Source Technology Center Imad Sousou said that "since the MeeGo User Experiences for the usage models mentioned previously are not yet included in today's MeeGo core, these images will boot into terminal."
Sousou said that the first release of MeeGo will be in May.
