MeeGo 1 to Release at the end of March
In a blog post by Valtteri Halla this week announced that Nokia and Intel have set a target to open up the MeeGo repository by the end of March.
Halla is one half of the two-person Meego technical steering committee.
The release, he said, "will signify the real 'Day One' of MeeGo project, a genuine merger of moblin and maemo."
It will include a "very raw baseline" of source code and a binary repository to build the MeeGo trunk on Intel ATOM boards and Nokia N900.
As far as which technologies will be included in MeeGo. Halla said that besides the already announced Qt, OBS and RPM, which he said caused a "few small avalanches of debate," expect to see X, connman, ofono, gstreamer and dbus.
