On Wed., WIRED Editor-in-chief Chris Anderson is scheduled to speak at the Savannah College of Art Design about technology and the new economy.

Anderson is expected to discuss how “atoms are the new bits of the next Industrial Revolution,” and how open source “product development is no longer limited to electronic information, but is applied now to the creation of physical products.”

In his latest book, “Free: The Future of a Radical Price,” Anderson explains why “free” is the future of business, and how businesses can not only survive but thrive through “freeconomics.”

The event is free and open to the public. It will also by simulcast at SCAD’s Digital Media Center in Atlanta.
