Open Source Moonlight 3.0 First Preview Available Now

The Mono Project developers have released a first preview of the next major release of Moonlight 3.0.

Moonlight is an open source implementation of Microsoft's Silverlight.

"This release contains many updates to our 3.0 support, mostly on the infrastructure level necessary to support the rest of the features," writes Miguel de Icaza a Mono project leader and Novell's vice president of developer platform.

Included in this release is MP4 demuxer support, initial work on UI virtualization, a platform abstraction layer, Binding/BindingExpression support and updates to the APIs.
