Apple Issues Java Updates for 10.5 and 10.6
If you're running Snow or Snow Leopard, Apple pushed out Java updates that you might want to grab. The upgrade includes several security fixes.
A Macworld story begins, "If you thought you just heard a disturbance in the Force -as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced - then take a deep breath and relax: it's just a pair of Java software updates for Mac OS X," writes Dan Moren.
The Java for Mac OS X updates came out on Thursday and are available on Apple's Support downloads page and via System Update. These updates disable J2SE 1.4.2.
