Mobile development tool vendor AppMobi has officially completed jqMobile 1.0, a framework that offers better efficiency and performance for HTML5 apps and hybrid iOS and Android apps. The beta release of the framework did not get a stellar reception from developers, but AppMobi says that the public release offers significant improvements. For example, while the beta included 30 APIs, the 1.0 includes 60 APIs, plus expanded event support and query selection compatibility.
The the jqMobi framework includes three libraries: jqMobi (query selection library), jqUI (touch-based library interface for WebKit browsers) and jqPlugins for WebKit browsers. The completed code will become available this week from GitHub.
