As you examine your SOA security needs, consider implementing an SOA security solution that enables SOAP message monitoring; federated authentication; application proxy; contract management; certificates, keys, and encryption; and audit logging. It seems like a long list, but the truth is without any one of these in place, all the benefits from your SOA will evaporate.
